For Sale:
JMT built amps - META42 and CHA47 (CHA-47 has been sold!)
Will Ship To: Continental USA
For sale are two amps made for me by JMT; Jon made them both for me back in 2003 and both are in great shape and work perfectly.
The META42 has the following specs:
Multi-loop/META 42 amp
. Hammond anodized aluminum case (black or brushed aluminum, your choice)
. Hand matched Vishay/Dale RN55D metal film resistors
. Alps Blue Velvet 100K ohm potentiometer (volume control)
. Elna Cerafine 47OμF/25v power supply caps
. WIMA 6.8 μF/50v reservoir caps
. Cascode current source to bias the op-amp to Class A
. Gold plated RCA input jacks
. ADB43KN op-amps
. Modified Linkwitz crossfeed (crossfeed is a circuit that allows a bit of cross channel, emulating how your ears
hear speakers)
. Rocker onloff switch
. Blue power LED
. Neutrik I/4" locking headphone jack
Jon did not sell a power supply/wall wart with the amp, leaving that up to the end-user. I purchased an Elpac WM1818/1-760 power supply from Newark Electronics for the amp. The amp itself cost $295 and the power supply was $44.16. My asking price is $150.00 plus shipping.
***Sold****The CHA47 amp is a portable amp, a Cmoy amp with op-amps paralleled to deliver more current; it is ideal for low impedence headphones. Though Jon usually built this amp in an Altoid or Penguin mint tin, I prefer chocolate to mints so he built mine in a Whitman's Sampler tin. The op amps used are the Burr-Brown OPA2134PA op amps. The amp has a power on LED and uses a 9-Volt battery. I purchased it for $70. My asking price is $35 plus shipping.
I prefer PayPal for payment; if a credit card is used than the buyer must pay the fees.
Please send me a PM if you are interested and thank you very much for looking.

A step up transformer of some sort might work....not something that I have any expertise on though...
