Right...

 

I'm after a Portable / Full Size set of Headphones for my iPhones. Ideally they will be full sized /closed back, as they will be for use in the office and around town.

 

MUST have BIG bass as I listen to Drum and Bass, electronic etc. Bass must be controlled though, not sloppy or over power, just solid, tight...but BIG.

 

They also MUST NOT require a headphone AMP to drive them....as I don't want to be carrying anything extra. So I guess I'm looking at a headphone with a low impedance really.

 

Price isn't really a problem as I prepaired to spend to get the right set of headphone.

Not sure how big of bass you want but I found the Denon HP-DN700 to have a good bass response that is accurate without being boomy and also will give good midrange and treble response and meet all the rest of your requirements.

Try the Denon AH-D1100.

 

I can fully recommend this one to you, being a fellow dnb lover. You will love these.

 

No need for amplification, portable, circumaural, comfortable.

The Ultrasone headphones are very good for these genres muisc like Pro900, Edition 8 and few others headphones like Beyerdynamic P70, ES10, ESW10, SRH940 and Z1000.
