Supporting a daily bump.

A few bumps but no signs of further donations. I'd have thought people would jump at the opportunity to save a child or many, make a real difference to the life of someone infinitely less fortunate. Just a tiny portion of what we've spent on audiophile gear would make all the difference in the world.

You really didn't expect people to donate and report back to you how much they donated, right?

Not at all. A simple "just donated" is plenty.

I bump this as a reminder for us all to keep those who are less fortunate in our thoughts, and if possible, help them out by donating..

An evening (where I am anyhow) bump and to say I did donate to the Red Cross.

Either fellow Head-Fi'ers are so noble and have donated but do not mention it or, more likely from the looks of who is posting in here, aren't interested enough to support their fellow world citizens. It raises questions about how ''great'' this community is as mentioned here and there in other threads. We rather speak about and buy guns or don't know how to spend our money on the next piece of equipment. C'mon people, wake up! Can we have some equality and justice in here? The so-called first world has the power to make change which starts with you and me. At least try..

What, you're going to force people to donate and then get mad when they don't?
Let them do whatever they want with their money. If you donated, good for you, good for the

needy.

All we can do is try to remind them of the less fortunate, we can't force them to donate everyday

and then post it back here. This westboro attitude is getting annoying.

What's the westboro attitude?

I can't help but getting angry when I see there's sense in a lot of people on this board and there's seemingly no appeal. I don't understand why there's seemingly disinterest. Yes, we speak about equipment and related stuff around here but there's more important stuff going on. I realise an anger infused post is not ideal to make people aware though I hope people will start thinking. This isn't about donating but in the first place about caring and questioning how we live. Ok, I am off-topic. Sorry to the OP who did not want this :)

Not replying != no interest.

I feel it is better to be humble and keep your donations to yourself instead of posting here how much you've donated,

when you donated, to which organisation.

The westboro attitude is well demonstrated in this video http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=OTSbfs32yCU

Half of the replies are bumps from the same people but hey, let's give it a rest.

I really could not bear to watch that vid btw. God awful attitude from the very first minute.

Maybe half the people in Members' Lounge are too young to donate? lol.
