I'm in a dilemma. I'm completely new to the headphone/headphone amp scene and wanted to get a nice setup for work to listen to.
My initial thoughts were to go with Sennheiser HD 598 paired with a Little Dot MKIII and Little Dot DAC_1. I am lining up the funds to do such a thing.
Now I'm thinking though because I'm new to this whole thing do I go a bit less pricey and stick with the Sennheiser HD598 headphones and go with a HiFiMan EF2a. I have funds for that immediately.
I've never done anything with tube amps and have always wanted to try it, and this seems to be a good way to get into that. I have no huge problems waiting for another 2-3 weeks to get some things sold out of my other hobbies to fund my original setup, but I also don't want to be dropping 800 dollars on a setup where I won't notice the difference to my "new ears".
If you were in my shoes, what would you do? Thanks for any opinions.
