Little Dot Mk II vs. DV 336 as first Amp

I'm trying to figure out what to buy as a first amp.  It'll be paired with DT880/600s and will be used for music, gaming, and movies.  I really have no point of reference, since this is the first headphone amp I'll have used.  Pricewise, I prefer the Mk II, but have noticed a few comments about bad synnergy between Beyer and Little Dot.

I've pretty much ruled out the higher Little Dots since the Mk III is only $50 cheaper than the DV, which is said to be the better product.

Will I be happy with the Mk II, or should I just take the plunge and get the DV?  Thanks.

I had the chance to audition the LD Mk III and the Darkvoice 336 in one session, and I found the LD Mk III lacking in dynamics and general 'power'. The DV sounded much more potent. So I'm not sure where the LD Mk II will stand. I say go for the Darkvoice, it's a good amp :D

Actually, after looking at some more reviews, I don't think I want the Mk II.  So the question is, should I get a Mk III for $240 or a DV for $300?  Thanks again.

Thanks for the reply.  I'll go with the DV, then.

Will I run into a problem if I try to drive the DT880/600s using a headphone out on a Yamaha stereo receiver while I wait for my amp?
