Over the ear headphone in range of 140-170$... returning SRh-840....

Hey guys,

I ordered SRH 840 about a week ago... I made a mistake and did not look at the weight of headphone... Though, the sound was really good, but it is too heavy in weight and looks huge and bulky on me... I can not wear it for more time.. Any more suggestion ?? ...

I am looking for closed back headphone with noise isolation.. I do not need noise cancellation...  it should have some bass and i listen to all types of music... I am not a professional audiophile...but , i do listen music a lot...  I mostly listen music either in my laptop or in ipod/iphone...

This is the first time that I am trying over the ear... I could not find anything good in range of 150-170$ for in ear... etymotic hf3 is good but it lacks in bass... and i do not trust fischer audio as I am already facing worst customer service with them...

thanks

joe

Here are two options that I think will work well for ya:

Audio-Technica ATH-M50

Ultrasone HFi-580

Ortofon O-One if you can find it at a good price and don't mind burning it in.  Otherwise what he said about the Audio Technica.  A lot of people tend to like it, though some find it bassy and lacking up top a little.

Audio technica ATh-A900 would probably suit considered one of the most comfortable headphones.

Consider the Denon AH-D1100.

They suit your budget, are circumaural and super comfortable.

I would say they're great all-rounders and portable.

This is not a good recommendation:

If anything, the A900 is BIGGER than the 840.
