would a extern sound card sound better than an intern for my headphones ( shure 840 + sony 7506 ) ?

Well, in that case there are many more options available out there. You could look into Audinst HUD-MX1, Musiland Monitor 02, Creative X-Fi HD USB, along with many others.

do you advice a soundcard ?  is the fast track of m-audio and presonus hp 4  also external sound cards ?

Well, they both will work quite fine, but keep in mind that if you're not using the extra features, you're spending more money than you need.

 

Depending on the headphones you're using, you might or might not need an amp, but usually amps improve sound in all but the easiest headphones to drive.
