I had to think if it was April Fools Day for a second.. This is a bit silly.

The really funny part (aside from the gold-plated ridiculousness) is that the underlying product doesn't in fact measure very well at all. Rarely has the phrase "Gold-plating a turd" been more apt.

Maybe the gold plating improves the conductance of the signal and reduces external noise!

 

And I don't doubt that the Swarovski crystal eliminates all channel imbalance and clipping caused by the volume control.

they could have put a diamond on the volume pot while they were at it....but at least it's been cryo'ed.
