Cable Management

Thread Starter

Hi, noobcake here asking a question that people are probably going to laugh at me for... but anyways, are there any type of device that successfully manages long cables from headphones? I plan on buying the Audio Technica ATH-M50 and i saw that the cord is pretty long. Im a use these headphones for school, bike riding and an excessively long cord seems like a hassle. So with that in-mind, is there a way i can shorten the cable length (obviously with a zip tie, but i want something for presentable). Thank you for your time.

Ha they aren't going to laugh it's a common problem that doesnt have an amazing solution.  I don't have an answer other then the semi-permanent black electrical tape(any kind really) or the permanent splice, which you have to be pretty good not to degrade quality and if you want to make use of the long cord is a pain in the A with the former and completely not worth the latter.

If you do get a solid answer though, well i'll be watching this thread as zip ties make AKG's look bad.

These work quite well for me:

But if pant pocket space is a premium then you could try getting some velcro strips and  cut them to length. This is my standard cable management solution.
