I'm on a very tight budget atm, and don't want to go much over 100 dollars (150 max, if you guys think the differences justify the cost).
I've heard some logitech z523's at a friends house, they were decent, but I'm hoping I can get a lot better for the money.
I'm trying to find a setup with a reasonably powerful sub, as I use speakers for movies and bass-heavy electro music (I have headphones for analytical listening/most music).

Would you guys recommend buying some stereo speakers and a sub seperate, and hooking them up together? I use a Xonar ST sound card, if I take this route, would I still be able to get a surround effect from it?
Any suggestions are appreciated! :)
