how to lose fat: go on the zone diet, run 3 miles every day and lift weights... fat melts off, but the weight stays the same... it's added muscle!

I'll never be accused of being "round" -- I have to eat to keep the weight on

How's this,I gotta loose weight or loose my job.My weight gain can't directly be attributed to being an "audio veg".I had an accident that immobilized me for 7 months. In that time I went from a muscular 220 pounds to a gut-bearing 280.

I have to assume that whomever started this post looked at the pictures that I posted from the Chicago meet as well as those posted from the Detroit meet.Doug's article in soundstage could'nt have helped.I look like a cow in that pic.

Are you sure about that? Anybody else remember back in the Headwize days when a certain "woman" with a twisted command of English used to post...oh wait a minute...that was Headwize...not Head-Fi....oops.

I weigh only 66 kgs, and am 1.80 meters tall (and I am *just* over the hill at 27). I can eat anything I want, and not gain weight. I also don't excercise that much... I run 1 hour 3 times a week. That's all.

There. I might not have every headphone out there, but I sure made many of you green with envy!!!

Wait till you turn 40... that eat anything I want-thing might change

Three hours of running a week is a lot for most people here.

Add another 18 kg. and 8 cm. and you have me... These days I spend 8-9 hours at the gym a week...

Ahhh, the luxury of being young (18 in a few weeks). I eat what ever the hell I want and very frequently (I eat around 5 meals a day). I don't like being skinny, I've never been overweight so I can't comment on that behalf. I'm 5'8" and my weight constantly changes within 10lbs. My average weight is 175lbs. I'd like to bulk up even more to 200lbs. before I head out for basic training, but the Navy won't allow me to go over 182lbs., lol.

What a weird ass discussion.

Well, that was more because of the "content" of that "woman's" posts. This scene (IMO) is more from her having a link to her homepage (w/ pics) in her sig. But like you said, we're just talking technicalities, here. ... I had almost succeeded in forgetting about that little debacle at Headwize, too.

EXERCISE

I have found over the years that exercise does a lot more for you than eliminate your gut. Exercising can improve your self confidence, concentration, and blood circulation. If you know what I mean.

I could probably stand to gain some weight. I am 5' 10'' and weigh only 145lbs. That's about 65Kg and 1.79 Meters. I also get a lot of exercise, I try to ride my bicycle 50 miles a week and the walk to and from school is 3 miles everyday. To and from my work is another 2 miles every day. I usually travel 70 miles (100 Km) a week by my own leg power. Then again, that will probably change when I get a car.
