I know there are many posts comparing these but I would like to know what would be the better choice because these would be the first actual good quality headphones. Previously ive owned the klipsch s4, meelec m6, lenntek sonix and such, but i find them to be a bit too colored and i would like to go towards more musical sounding iems with little coloring. For beginners what would be the better choice?

...If you're worrying that the hifiman and the Fiio wont be able to drive either the RE0's or the RE2's, then put your mind at ease.
because these would be the first actual good quality headphones.
Headphones or IEMs? Your post lacks cohesiveness... : (
In any case I would recommend the RE0's, if only - so that you have a starting ground (to which a lot of other users have experience) when considering OTHER IEMS.
