Since this a Burson thread I'll be brief.
Burson: The LCD-2 pairs magnificent with the 160D. The Burson´s stepped volume control makes small ticks when adjusted when using the High Gain output. For some, thats not to like. I personally can (barely) live with it. The Burson runs more than lukewarm. Surprisingly hot while used. I´m still quite surprised of that. Not piping hot, but more than you would expect from the big box.
Violectric: The most "boring" amp of the two. Boring in terms of looks. The Burson looks like $$$ compared to it. The Burson runs hot, the V200 does not. So, what is it with the V200? It is 100% sturdy. Everything with it is just solid. The non-stepped volume control is a feature I like and no volume clicks. The XLR/RCA sockets are mechanically rock solid. My Kimber Hero cables with RCA WBT is tight as glue on the V200, but quite loose on the Burson. I also find the gain dip switches quite handy for other sources than my preferred DAC.
I enjoy the Burson, but keep coming back to the V200. If I HAD to sell either 160D or V200 today; I´d sell the Burson. As you understand, not because it is significant inferior to the V200, but my heart lies with the V200.
I perceive the sound from the V200 is a tad less coloured than the Burson. For some headphones, that's nice and for others not. Your choice (as always) must be seen in conjuction with the rest of the system and preferences. Music (genre, audio quality) is far more different than the isolated sound differences between the V200 and the 160D.
Looking forward to Windsor's impression of the 160D. :)
