I want to order some earphones tonight for a trip I'm taking.. the last earbuds I had that I liked a lot were Brainwavez M1's but the sound started to go out in the right earbud

Looking for:
Equal Length for left and right ear
Good Microphone

What are some good suggestions?

I have enjoyed my Nuforce NE-700M earbuds and would recommend them to pretty much anyone.

I used to have the NE-7Ms how do these compare to those do you know? are there any other companies worth giving a try?

the sound has much more body and weight (considerably more bass).  Sonics vs. sonics (NE-7M's vs. NE-700M's) to me the definate advantage goes to the 700's.  The only drawback I can come up with is the can is larger so they are less comfortable for extended periods of time.  Thats just my impression on how they fit my ears.  A friend of mine has the 700X model and he has no comfort issues to mention, he thinks the size actually helps seal the ear canal better for him.

sounds good.. i remember the NE-7Ms were a bit long so they would extend a bit out of my ear.. I like to lay down and listent o music sometimes so it was a bit uncomfortable when they got pushed deeper into my ear from laying on my side.. if not the 700Ms whats another good alternative for a comparison? I listen to mostly hip hop / alternative / dubstep

Maybe you could try the Meelectronics M6P? I've not tried them, but they get good reviews for the price. I have talked with their customer service though and they are some of the nicest people I've ever had the pleasure of dealing with.
