There are supposedly changes to the PCB design (according to Mike from Headfonia). No chatter I've come across yet regarding the SQ, though.

Thanks. Is the wolfson dac the same in both then?

Both use BB 1794. No Wolfson dac.

I think it's a PCM1793 DAC, from TI: http://focus.ti.com/docs/prod/folders/print/pcm1793.html
