If this thing is somewhat affordable and sounds like 70 percent of the HE-500 to me, I'm going to give up Grados forever

which is rumoured to be released in spring of 2012.

If it sounds like the RE0s, I might want to try them :D

It might be a nice twin of the DT880s (which sounds like a full size version of the RE0, IMO).

...hmm...I was going to get a Sony Z1000 this September, but...these might get my money if more impressions come out. Grado-like sound without the drawbacks? Me gusta.

 

EDIT: Subconsciously added "stage" to sound. Disregard that.

It does not say grado like sound stage anywhere in the review. The signature is somewhat gradoish, intimate with ample amounts of bass and good treble presence. The sound stage is comparable to that of the HE-500s, but lacks some depth compared to the HE-6s.
