A friend of mine is looking to buy a high quality cd player and is looking at the Bose Wave System. I told him that many audiophiles think bose is bad and that there are better or comparable products for a better price.
He is planning on listening to classical music and after doing some research I found few comments to similar posts recommended Tivoli and Cambridge Soundworks. Would that still hold now, any specific products? Are there any other recommendations for a tabletop radio/cd player at around $500 or less. Also he doesn't like the idea of a sound system thats made in china or something like that which is one of the reasons he chose Bose because it's made in America
Also I noticed some people recommending getting a simple cd player/amp/speaker setup if so what would you recommend for the same price range and ease of use because my friend and I are not audiophiles and I wouldn't know where to being looking for and setting up an amp.
