Strange, the bi-flanges are more comfy for me.

Does anyone know if these tri-flanges would fit?

Something tells me you aren't as impressed as you thought you would be with the FXT-90s...

So I got my FXT90's yesterday and have been listening to them a lot. It's a huge upgrade over my previous IEM (that isn't hard though). I let them burn in over night. I'm not a believer in physical burn in, but I figure, no one has measured before/after burn in yet, and maybe Carbon Nanotubes are special, it can't hurt.

Thoughts so far:

-The sound is a quite thick. I would prefer less in quiet room listening, though that might change as I get used to it more. It's nice for things like bus rides and stuff though since the lower end won't have trouble powering through the drone of the vehicle.

-Treble is nice. Could use more sparkle, but it's still nice.

-Bass has nice impact.

-It sounds very coherent. As if there was only one driver.

-Soundstage is only a bit smaller than my Sony V6. While the V6 is nothing special in soundstage, I haven't heard an IEM come anywhere close to even that. So yeah. I'm impressed.

-It's quite fun to listen to.

Anyways, it seems like I have a good IEM now. Yay.

Ordered this IEM yesterday from amazon. Hopefully the shipping will be fast from Japan.

PS: I also ordered JVC HA-FXZ100 biggrin.gif

Anyone here got the FXT90s and Meele M Duos?

I want to compare these two dual dynamics for trance music.

Had my gold FXT90 for more than 2 months now and I think the sound is getting better.  Sibilance in some songs has disappeared or lessened ... maybe just my imagination lol

It's getting better here as well after burning them in for a week.

Still no where near clean though so gotta keep pounding those small CNT drivers with fast beats.

hi all! i just grabbed a pair from my local Futureshop and i'm falling in love with them XD i did purchase a pair back in novemeber, but ultimately returned it due to cable problems. Do guys think a recable is possible? I asked btg audio, but he said he hasn't done a pair of fxt's. PS, what tips would you reccommend? PPS,i'll post a review and comparison versus the gr-07 bass edition soon if anyone is interested :)

Yeah pretty sure btg can still re-cable them.

Also a comparison with the GR07 would be cool!

What tips are you using with your FXT90?

I am considering getting a Fiio E6 to give these FXT90 some more bass. The default sound is pretty good, but sometime I find the bass quantity to be lacking and EQing make them sound really fatiguing.

They don't really change much with an amp imo. I originally found the bass to be lacking as well with EDM, however over time they grew on me a lot. I love the fact that they used carbon nano tubes to differentiate the sound being produced and I like how tough these little guys are. That being said, their are upgrades from these, but for the price these are hard to beat.

As a side note, I currently have the Westone 3 and the Earsonics SM3 v2. I am torn as to which I am going to keep and which I am going to get rid of since I can only keep one.

I'm using the vsonic biflanges,so far so good and the stock tips are almost as good, but the biflanges offer better isolation smily_headphones1.gif any other tip options? Also in response to frequency blue,I have an e6 with LOD and it makes almost no difference the bass boost does work though, but the highs and mids become noticeably more muddy (on blue setting. This result is regardless if I'm running off of my iPod touch or ipad 2. the clearest setup: ipad headphone out>iPod touch headphone out> iPod fiio e6 with LOD=ipad fiio e6 with LOD
