True but you can't have the convenience of specific widgets appearing on all desktops, a very handy feature IMHO.

No!  Great answer huh?  Once you download the first update, all subsequent updates must be done with the same authentication and there is no additional cost.  Just authorize all subsequent upgrades with the same ID and you're all set!

I guess I don't understand what you're really wanting.  You can instantly access your widgets any time from any desktop via "Show Dashboard" which you can invoke via a hot corner or keystroke combo.

Ordered my MBP the day Lion came out. Should be here on the 28th. I'm excited to use all the new features!

With the developer mode enabled you could have widgets floating on top of all windows irrespective of the desktop you were working on.

The dragged widgets were there all the time, I used it for a very cool clock widget and the count down calendar.

Such things more often than not, tend to get in my way.  I think you're alluding to Win7'esque gadgets.  Good waste of screen real estate.  wink_face.gif

Does anyone else's desktop icons look bigger in Lion?

And I'm curious what web browsers you guy use besides Safari. I'm using FireFox and Chrome. Any particular reason I should use Camino or something else instead?

I enjoy Google Chrome; incidentally I find Safari's much quicker for using Facebook.

You can make them (desktop icons) be whatever size you want them to be.

Chrome wins most of the browser wars at my house.

I prefer Spaces to Mission Control. Feels a lot more efficient.

So is it safe to say there are more pluses than minuses with upgrading from Snow Leopard to Lion? I'm wondering if I should bother, really.
