Here's the deal. I have an 80gb iPod Classic and it works great. It's super easy to use and add songs with and iTunes is easy to use too. However, I've been looking into a Cowon J3 for a while because of it's EQ abilities and because apparently it sounds better. So I was looking into them and saw how expensive they are, especially since I would need the 32gb version and at least a 16gb sd card. It would cost me around $280. That's way more then I need and have to spend so I decided to stick with my iPod and save money. I know iPods get a lot of heat here, but they don't sound terrible and I already have one that can hold 80gb of music. So it would be crazy for me to buy a whole new mp3 player. However, I'm leaning towards buying a nice portable amp or dac instead. Something like a Fioo or an Electric Avenue PA2V2. That would cost way less and probably sound better than a Cowon J3 by itself. So, I want to hear some professional opinions on this. Please try and be as unbiased as possible, but give your honest opinion on my conclusion. Thanks!
