They do indeed, especially trance and what not.

Definitely NOT the AKG K242 HD. I have it at home right now, and it is MASSIVE! I placed it around my neck and wow-za! I couldn't even look at my shoes! (Unless I forcefully squish the foam on the headphones).

Sorry to say this but. . .the AKG K242 HD? Has to be off your list. Also, if you are looking for portable full size can headphones, I guess the M50 wouldn't hurt.

Anyway. I also recommend you to check out these!

I wear my Ed8 LE all around, walking the dog, in the coffee shop, you name it.  It kills all other portables i have tried by a big margin.  For reference besides others i have heard in passing, I also own esw9 from around preorder time years ago and have a pair of JH13s as well as a portable cabled pair or Grado SR225's.

I'd vote for the HD25, they have everything I want in a portable. and Im saying this one month after getting the DT1350 as an "upgrade"

Am I alone in thinking the Pro 900 is not really portable? And for the price, the Ultrasone ED8 is the terrible value for portable use. When used through an MP3 player, the ED8 doesn't sound better than the ESW10JPN (which I also think is over priced at $600) and at $1600, forget about it. I haven't tried the ED8 in a home rig, but $1600 is pretty freakin expensive unless you plan to use it as a portable AND a home headphone.

I also agree that the Pro 900 aren't that portable; I can see them being used as portables but I would rather not. They can be driven well enough out of an ipod but they are a lot bulkier than they look in the ads. They also don't isolate very well and leak a lot of sound.
