I would like to know what format/file type I should orgonally start with to get the best sound when utamitaly making a ALAC file.
Is the uncommpressed WMV the best way to go. Is ripping a genuine retail copy of say Rammstein the best way to get the track in its origonal format.
I would have to admit that most of my music is downloaded illegally, the problem I have with FLAC files downloaded is that I do not know how they were created. Is haveing the origonal disc and using EAC to get the files the best way to esure qaulity?
If I am wrong here let me know, I dont want to go and buy phiscal copies of all my favortie music unless it has a benifit in encoding these higher qaulity formats. Currently I do not see another way to buy them.
