Used turntable advice.

The motor on my Project Debut 3 recently packed it in. I'm sure I can fix it, but I think I might rather a bit of an upgrade. I have foud a used Pioneer PL-530 in mint condition. I guess I'm just trying to make sure that I would actually be upgrading.

Now I know I'm going to be told to spend over $1000 dollars to get something worthwhile, but I'm working with a budget of $500. So, I figure I'll go used and try to get something better that the Debut III.

Also if anybody knows roughly how much it would cost to put a new motor in my Debut III, could you let me know? I haven't been able to find anything on the internet regarding a replacement motor. Although, I haven't contacted Project yet.

Thankyou.

After further digging through old threads I found exactly the advice I was looking for. Regarding used turntables, that is.

Any help with the cost or availability of a new motor for the Debut would be much appreciated.
