1 The Beatles never tire of their music, and really enjoy reading about their exploits etc

2 Prince.  Really only the early stuff.  Love hearing the hype around this guy and is unbelievable musical talents

These would be my pick.........so far

Heya,

Without a doubt, my go to music, my favorite band, ever, always seems to be The Cranberries. I don't know why. I just love their sound and Delores' voice is just hauntingly beautiful. I get my rock and opera all in one sitting. And with their diverse range of music, interesting concepts, interesting song subject and material (it's not just junk, it's actually historical and pop culture which keeps it interesting and dates it just while listening you know when it was created by the subjects in the songs), it just keeps me captivated. A new album is due out this year, for the first time in a very long time, I'm super excited. Examples of recent stuff. One and two.

Otherwise, the close second recently, is going to Ani Difranco. Her voice is amazing. Her music is acoustic. It's just so good. Here's a link to a great song.

Very best,

Nine Inch Nails were my introduction to music appreciation. Without Trent Reznor's influence I doubt I would even be a member of this forum...
