Why do some people prefer tubes over solid state amps or hybrids? Is it because of sound signature or are there any other technical advantages?

I find my tube amps more closer to the live sound of music. The organic sound and clarity of the instruments and tone are more appealing to me than solid state amps. I also like the fact that I can change the sound of my amps with tube swaps. I too prefer point to point builds as my amps are designed that way. Tubes are easy to come by but since I do not have tube testers I choose premier tube vendors for my tubes. But I do admit solid state designs have come a long way but my preference will always be the glass bottles.
