I'm guess it goes something like this:

iPod <USB> HP-P1 <Toslink> D12 <line out> Stepdance

He's using the HP-P1 just to get the digital signal from the iPod, bypassing the HP-P1's DAC.  And then using the D12 for DAC duties.  I also found this other photo on the innernets.  I think it's the same guy (?).  I took the first photo in Tokyo at a headphone show.  So either this other photo was taken at the same show, or this guy really gets around.

It look like he's just testing out the amp on the bottom.  Otherwise, I'd begin to think that he's just doing 'this' on purpose.  biggrin.gif

Here are a few others you can add:

goflex_satellite_leftangle_320x340.png

Seagate Goflex Satellite- no more excuses for not going lossless

zorev copy.jpg

digiZoid Zo- Bass enhancement processor

isound_usb_portable_power_max_battery_news.jpg

iSound Powermax- charges any USB device

All we need is a portable re-clocker, crossfeed unit... perhaps even go with one amp per channel (monoblocks).  Then slide some Shakti Stones in between for good measure.  I was thinking of Photoshopping this into one big stack, but I'm not that bored... yet.  tongue.gif
