Which MP3 player for Sennheiser HD-25 UNamped?

Hey guys,

 

Want to know some more about the ways I can go with my recently purchased HD 25. I've found out that portable amps are not for me since I like near empty pockets haha!

 

So my question is: Which MP3 Player would fit the HD25 best without any amp or LOD? At the moment I have a iPod Nano 3G and I've got the feeling I could get alot more SQ with a non outdated MP3 player.

Anything will work. The HD25-1 II has low impedance but not low enough to be affected by a portable's typical output impedance. It's also very sensitive. You'll get plenty of volume with almost anything without running into audible issues.

 

If you want a new player, consider the Clip+. Otherwise just stick with what you have if you're getting enough volume.
