Specifically the Rockbox 3.2 system.

I have a number of French and Spanish songs which have characters beyond the ASCII range (such as é and ñ). On my current PCM-D50 system (with the Japanese 1.01 main board), they either show up as a square or as Katakanas (for some reason).

These characters are present in both the MP3 file name and file tags.

Does the Rockbox system, either prior to or after the 3.2 version, support these characters correctly, or should I install additional files?

Course I can live with it, I have a separate bank of MP3 files with these characters replaced by their ASCII counterparts.

I have read the Rockbox FAQ.

Thank you very much.
