I mostly listen to podcasts on my runs; The sound of young america, WTF- Mark Marron, Big Ideas, Jordan Jessie Go, Stop podcasting yourself, Surprisingly free, and a bunch of others. I find that I really like the separation of body and mind I get from listening to a talk based podcast on a run. It seems to let me kind of loose track of time if I can get my mind engaged in something else runs. Maybe try a podcast out.
Personally I find music can make me feel a bit slow or fast if the rhythm of the music doesn't match my pace very well. Not that I don't listen to it on a run, but sometimes it's not as enjoyable as I would like it to be. Our musical tastes probably differ quite a bit; however, here is the last 50ish minute running playlist I made.
Clean up Woman- Betty Wright
Takin the time to find- Dave Mason
Battened Ships- Odyssey
Girl You Need A Change of Mind- Eddie Kendricks
Say you will- Eddie Henderson
Don't Worry- Loose Ends
Pull Up to the Bumper- Grace Jones
First true love Affair- Jimmy Ross
Let's Get together- Pam Todd
Don't you want my love- Moodymann
Brazilian Dimes- Ras G
Why did you do it- Stretch
