I choose beer for social things (parties, bars...) and wine for 'classier' occasions such as dinner with the ladies :p

I only drink alcohol about once a month, and my favorite beer and standby drink is Guinness.  Colorado has great local brews too though, so sometimes I'll go that route.  My favorite local brews are ambers/reds.

 

I also enjoy nice warm Saki occasionally, in combination with Japanese food.

A glass of red most nights with dinner (I try & stick with one - except weekends, where it might be 2-3 (lol). I do like a light beer on a hot day though.
