Radio Feq from Aktimate Mini speakers

Hi guys,

I just bought a pair of Aktimate Mini active speakers. After setting up everything, I notice that the speakers emits sounds from a local radio station very faintly, even without any audio source or the RCA cables plug into. I notice it just by switching the speakers ON. Please bear in mind that the local radio station is about 3 blocks away. :(

Is this because of the stock power cables that are supposedly unshielded? Or is it because of the house's electric socket? or is there any other reasons?

I have already tried a voltage stabilizer hoping to get rid of the sound but it did not work. :(

Could anyone suggest a solution for this.

Thanks in advance! :)

the amp inside the speaker is picking it up and amping it for you.wrap the entire speaker in copper and ground it should fix it.

Is there any other way than taking the speakers apart? I don't want to void the warranty yet. :)

Try a ferrite clamp on the power cord and any other cords plugged in to it, or you could try a shielded cord.
