EAC ripping problems regarding gaps

I've just gotten several CDs that were supposed to be live (ie, gapless), but when I ripped them through EAC (settings are all correct, I've used the exact same settings for many other discs and gapless CDs do come out as gapless) I found out that the tracks were 2 seconds longer than it should've been (ie, a 2 second gap). I've tried every gap setting in EAC, and I've come to the conclusion that whoever did the mastering accidentally added in a 2 second gap to the end of each track.

Am I doing something wrong? Is there a setting in EAC that I'm missing?

Thanks, Brendan

There's a really great wiki page on this.  Thought I'd dig it up for you in case you hadn't run into it already.

Yeah I have EAC setup using the Blowfish guide and I use the noncompliant cue sheet. I take it right now I am making an EXACT copy of the CD, and if I were to take out the 2 second gap, then it would not be an EXACT copy. Assuming my first press rip is accurate, this means that the 2nd press has gaps added to it, which is odd. Oh well frown.gif.

Ok, I have concluded that the engineer in charge of the CDs added a 2 econd gap to the end of each track, even though quite obviously there shouldn't be one (the tracks are supposed to flow from one to another because this is a live recording, instead there is a gap of silence before moving onto the next track). I have confirmed that the gaps contain silence, the sound just abruptly stops (playing the CD with foobar and on a regular CD player), so I will try the 'Leave gaps out' option in EAC and go from there. Perplexing, because I wouldn't have mastered the discs this way...I thought I was going crazy, so I rechecked and triple checked LOL.
