Chanting and Whispering music ?

Does anyone know of any songs / music that contain chanting or whispering in them ?

 

I'm looking for songs that have this but with a ambient background and they need to be deep.

 

Similar to meditation music.

( I'm not too sure how else to explain this )

You might also want to check out some of the albums that the Taize monastery has recorded.  It's chant with a melody line, or perhaps an "updated" Gregorian Chant.  Meditative, Christian, and community all rolled into one.

 

If you aren't a Christian, it might be pretty irritating, though.  http://www.amazon.com/Songs-Prayers-Taize/dp/B000003YKF/ref=sr_1_2?ie=UTF8&qid=1310416840&sr=8-2 is the one I like the most, but really all are similar.

 

Specially listen to track 2 "Veni, Sanctus, Spiritus" for a chanting background.

Not really meditation music, but you'll find chanting in Orff's "Carmina Burana." It's a fun listen.

Also check works by Anonymous 4, you'll enjoy them.

For some whispering, look up Patrick82's YouTube videos. I think he might be Patrick182 there. The whispering in his pizza-making videos is truly something. biggrin.gif

My girlfriend and I listen to Jonathan Goldman's "The Lost Chord" every night to lull us to sleep.  It's really good chanting/ambient music that has an overly "warm" feeling to it.  I think it was recorded using exclusively Solfeggio tones, but I could be wrong about that...

Used to listen to this out of my dad's collection. It's a very good Gregorian Chant album.
