New kind of speakers wire

Is it possible to have 2 pairs of speaker wire, soldered together, so that you had 4 RCA connectors for two different receivers but only 2 speaker connectors? And than you'd have two of them for L and R. I thought of this idea because i was thinking if i were to have two pairs of speakers, i'd like to be able to listen to them from whichever of my two receivers.

Are you looking for the speaker outputs of 2 different receivers to be able to both be simultaneously hooked up to one set of speakers?  If so, that could theoretically be built, you just have 2 sets of speaker cables (8 wires) joining together at some point so that the L+ for example from each amp becomes a single L+ to connect to the left positive terminal of the speaker.

Just use a switchbox. Radio Shack sells a decent one for about $20.

DIY is also a good choice if you want something else.
