I didn't think of TEAC when I began searching for a dedicated CD player. My initial short list included Denon, Cambridge, Marantz, Onkyo. The Teac intrigued me, so I went for it. It is very...

If you want an all rounder, pick GR07. It has good presence across the range and can do all genres well.
RE-262 would not handle all genres like GR07. With RE262, it's lack of bass quantity and extension will bug you (coming from M31). It's a very good IEM, no doubt. But, it's focus is more on the mid range. Besides, with RE262, you would want to use an amplifer not because it needs it, but because it is a huge battery drainer otherwise.
I have not heard EX-600, but it is yet another option to consider in the $150 range.
