Are there any water submerge-resistant FM/AM radios?

The idea is to tie a piece of string from the radio to something solid on the watercraft. When the radio drops in water, I can retract that string and bring it back onto the watercraft while the entire device is not damaged.

Or do I just put a regular radio in many Ziploc bags?

Thank you very much.

Yes. Take a look at the Yaesu/Vertex Standard radios. They have several marine models, too. You'll find them for sale over at Ham Radio Outlet.

While I don't take mine in the water, I love my Yaesus.

OK I see, two-way transponders.

Thank you for your answer Erik. I think I should have mentioned it... FM/AM receiver radios.

Thank you very much.
