If I was a physics/aviation professor of some sort, I'd definitely blow up this image and set it as a wallpaper.

The Four Forces of Flight

It's not physics, but it's absolutely hilarious. And true.

I like taking pictures while hiking, et cetera, and using them for wallpapers, but this was taken in the morning a couple days ago, just outside my front door.

A sodium alginate liquid-gel capsule encapsulating another sodium alginate liquid-gel capsule that we made in lab. Kind of an odd choice for a wallpaper, but I thought it was pretty-looking. regular_smile%20.gif

For those who don't know what alginate is, it's a starch found in seaweed that is used in some foods (like in molecular gastronomy), capsules (fish oil supplement), and gels. Think of it as a vegetarian gelatin. tongue_smile.gif

Anyway, enough of the science, what other wallpapers do you guys use?

The climb to this point with a tripod and my gear was exhausting, but the scenery was worth it

For some reason, this one has been sticking around longer than usual. No idea?
