Fiio E9 Connection help

 So I've been using the 3.5 mm cable to connect my macbook to the e9. I know the sound qaulity sucks, I can hear white noise when there is no music. Is there any other type of cable I can buy that the can make for better qaulity?

 

I've been told that I can buy the Fiio E7 and connect every thing through the USB cable....I dont really wanna do that or have the cash for it..Just wanna know the options I have to connect my E9 to my MACBOOK.

It might be a ground loop.  Try making sure that both of them are plugged into the same outlet, the same power strip, or just try it with the laptop running on battery power.

 

If that doesn't work, you'll probably have to get an E7 or some other sort of external DAC.
