Hi All,

been looking for an amp/dac for use with and without a computer.

will be using with fa-011.

my budget is $150 shipped, ive been looking at the aune mk2 se (whats se?)

could i use this as a dac and an amp at the same time (being a n00b) as there is a switch to switch between dac and amp. so if im using with computer would i be able to use dac aswell as amp or not? also, could i use the aune without a computer, or does it only run off usb?

thanks for helping an amp n00b out!

Heya,

That Aune is a DAC/AMP. It can be used with USB or just plugged in via RCA in or SPDIFF in (ie, anything can be plugged into it, literally). The SE is just an improvement over the first gen of the same model. You can use it as a DAC and AMP at the same time, it's designed for that. Notice it's got it's only DC power, so USB is not required in any way shape or form. It's a nice combination with plenty of connectivity for the price. Go for it.

Very best,

Thank you very much, this is exactly what i needed to know.

Will proceed to order. Seems like a much more reliable option than the Zero.
