Talk about a find. Treasures include gold, diamonds, etc.

Bah. I would rather they had left the treasures undiscovered :(.

Seems that this kind of thing is only the stuff of legend now.

How does $20 billions dollars worth of treasure go unseen for 140 years when Sree Padmanabhaswamy is popular with tourists?

rolleyes.gifWatch the video, its says they do open every once in a while for special occasions. I think that money should go to make a highway as that one man said, and make apartments for the poor.

I think the more likely story is the government ordered searches a review of all holy shrines and is gathering up billions of dollars worth of holy relics and offerings to build upon there new infrastructure. Some time ago I heard how India was going to be the new America within 50 years but were struggling to cope with the demand and growth within their cities. $20 billion sure would go a long way to laying a few more roads and driving business to the country.

I see a movie in the Indiana Jones series. I hope it is returned to the people that have supported that temple over generations. Reality is that the Govt. will canvas all properties to lay claim before it is noticed. The communities should protect their property but we all know where this is going. Should all religious sites be excavated for other caches of treasure, technology, historical relics? Egypt would be quite exciting. I hope it doesn't happen but it's been done since man has tried to take it with them when they die.
