you should try some Bass 305. some of their stuff is great for testing low frequency performance as well.

Some tracks by "The prodigy"

This one really makes my RE262 IEMs look silly. It can barely play the lower notes in the beginning, but so faintly it might as well not play it at all. It's hard for me to wait to pick my customs of choice in October when I have IEMs that can't even produce these bass lines. frown.gif

Awesome song in it's own right as is the rest of the album.

I almost don't hear the lowest bass notes on my Sony MDR-EX1000. Are there anybody who has "proper" iems to play this song as it has to play?

My UERM I have now do a much better job with these notes. The volume is still on the low side, but the notes are now well defined and clear whereas before it was more of a 'puff' of bass on the RE262.

Hm... very interesting. I'd like to hear the difference between UERM and Sony EX1000. It's just impossible to understand what you hear on the RE262/UERM. I'm just curious are there any iems that can play those notes definitely loud and clear and very noticeably...

Probably any bass oriented IEM. I'll try the track on my M9s tonight. The JH16 should do quite well.

And any other deep dubstep

If someone would like to test deep and really low bass all you need to do is search on youtube for "20Hz music" or "20Hz bass":

Well, I think there is no IEM that could play that kind of bass (to be precise, there is no EARS that can hear that bass). After your post I began to test my Sony EX1000 to find out how it can handle low bass notes. I listened to 10Hz, then 20Hz, 30Hz... 100Hz. And when I played 10Hz sound there almost was a silent (I almost heared nothing), but when Sony EX1000 played 20Hz sound it was amazing, I could hear not only sound, I could feel it by my body... The bass was so well controlled.

Then I found out that human ear can identify sounds begining from 16Hz. So, if Sony EX1000 plays 20Hz perfectly, I doubt it can't play 16Hz. Therefore I think there is no sounds I could hear that Sony EX1000 can't play. Or maybe I'm wrong?

My 14 dollar M6's handled that track Maxvla posted just fine.  Lots and lots of sub bass with these iems, cheap or not.
