I got a pair of turbines from someone on this site. He said he only burned it in for about 12 hours and had a listen, but when I got them the driver flex was so terrible I deemed them horrible. I got another pair from monster via RMA replacement, and now that I've put about 3 solid days worth of listening through them, the glue on the metal housing came loose. Also driver flex issues are starting up again. Should I just ask for another RMA or should I simply glue it together and hope it holds tough until I get my next pair? I do have a bottle of gorilla glue laying about....
I only spent 58 bucks plus about 10 in shipping on these, so I guess im not TOO bent out of shape about it but last time I asked for an RMA it took them a full month to get it to me. The turbines suck for any exercise purpose too. I lawnmow with them in and the standard silicon tips just do not want to stay in. The ear hook thingy sucks too. Their sound quality is excellent compared to Shure e2c's (horribly lacking in bass, esp. because I tested it on ipod video
) and bose on-ears (blech, though they lasted for quite some time. still kicking but sound like crap now). I was gonna get a set of exercise buds from perhaps sennheiser or something for around 60 bucks and instead invest the big bucks on a nice set of full size cans like audiotechnica m50 or something (just read about it today on lifehacker, dunno if its called m50 or something else)
What do you guys think? RMA vs glue it myself?
