Before I install any new tubes, especially NOS ones which have been unused for over 5 to 6 decades, I clean all the pins wth >90% alcohol.

 

These are available from pharmacies under "medical" alcohol.
 

The yucky greenish oxides are removed easily via the use of alcohol.

Thank you for the tips, I'll try those. I just received message from schiit and they are sending me new pair of tubes. I have to say, that they have really great customer service.
