Heya,

Was wondering if anyone knew anything about the Fubar 2 MK2 USB DAC.

Contains the Texas Instruments - PCM1754 DAC chip.

I'm looking to upgrade from my Auzentech Forte for home use as a DAC. Will be plugging into a Little Dot MK III tube amp. Will be feeding DT990's, 900 Pro's, HD580's, etc. I'm tired of using an internal soundcard, as I can't move it at will. Looking to go USB so I can plug it into any PC and be in business.

Source material are FLACs. I don't have anything 24bit/96khz, it's all normal CD rips and then whatever DVD AC-3 audio is. Don't think I'll be having anything higher sampled than that since I'd have to buy digital copies from HDtracks or something, which may happen one day, but certainly not for now.

Should I be looking at other options in this price range (~$150)?

Is this particular USB fast enough? Has enough bandwidth? Or should I be looking at something else?

Anything that has USB/optical/spdif inputs that is worth a damn in this price range that I don't know about?

Any opinions on the HRT Music Streamer II?

Looking for options.

Thanks!

Very best, smile_phones.gif
