Just an update guys. I think I might have found the solution. After making a mess in my living rooms for days and ended up with scratches on the floor thanks to the spikes under the speaker, I might have found the soIution. I think I got a half decent imaging when I remove the stuffs adjacent to the speaker, namely the hifi stack to the right of left speaker and a PC left of the right speaker. They definitely could be better, but good enough to keep me on the couch instead of clearing the mess.
The floor rugs seemed to take away some treble too.
Now I have to figure out where to keep the stuffs from the space I just lost.
........WOW .....did the speaker survive the onslaught ?
