Best 2.1 speakers UPDATE: Klipsch 2.1 or 5.1 for prices listed...

Hi guys new to the forum!

 

Edit: Buying either 2.1 or 5.1 Klipsch both are old models. 2.1 for 80; 5.1 for 225ish +5 monster cables

 

WHich one should i get? is 5.1 worth it?

 

Been looking to buy a 2.1 surround speakers for my room (hook up to my pc/ipod) and these are the ones I'm comparing. Looking to get some opinions on which one you guys think have the best sound quality? Price isn't that big of a deal as long its under/around 200.

 

My top choices are:

 

Klipsch Promedia 2.1 (so far my fav)

Bose Companion 3 S2

M Audio M40 (even though 2.0)

an Edifier 2.1? s330d?

The edifier s330d or c3, or for a 2.0 set the r1900 studio's.

eBay would get you a set of Acoustic Energy Aego M's for $200. I'd actually say go that direction.

Thanks guys! Looks like it's between edifiers, aego m's (liking the white color), klipsch (but heard quality is not as good as the older ones). Anyone heard of the sonic gears?

 

Probably going to go check out the edifiers in person on my way back from work sometime this week.

Hi guys so I think I'm actually set on buying Klipsch.

 

 

Should I buy the 2.1 for around 80 or go for the 5.1 for around 225. 5.1 comes with 5 extra monster cables

 

Both are the old models not the new crap.
