What do you think about the bubbles in the 702 compared to the 240? Does that headband from the 702 feel less comfortable then the 240?

I'm wondering between investing a bit extra for the 701 instead of the 240 / 242.

(k242 hd is 109 euro, 701 is 198 euro here).

I like trance btw, but wouldn't consider myself a basshead. (I like tight/punchy bass). (Got some old Auzentech X-Plosion soundcard).

Which amp/sound card do u got btw vizzle? :P

Go k701, they are worth this 90 euro extra for sure. I have short hair and headband of k702 is no problem for me. Let say bouth k240 and k702 are in same comfort ligue.

My AKG sims to still not burn-in fully, OMG they need lot off play time, so far they are not as open as I know they will be (not playing behind my ears yet). Main changes in current burn-in process, hi-end mellow and get stunning resolution and quality. To be honest, best I hear in my life. Bass tight up...

...AKG k702 are bassshy, one off bigest myths about these headphones, well if someone has on mind that it mean "musical" bass integrated into music...I will say bass amount is just perfect not to much, not to lacking. This is good discussion about AKG k702 myths. After all I read on head-fi I was expecting less bass even with comparison to k240 mkII and reality was completely different.

BTW maybe it was real problem with k701 ver. 1, but now ver. 2 of k701/2 have good amount of bass.

Short comparison to k240 mkII (as I remember), they just doing everything better. No  more words, its not like "Bit better bass" or "Bit more resolution in higs" its better in every aspect. Now I know I should buy k702 in first place, it would save me money and time.

Now its time for comparison to DT990 PRO.....in coming post, now its bit to late.

Nice impressions!  It seems your K702 is coming along nicely.  What amp and DAC are you using with it?
