The DT1350s are my favorite Beyers so far but they aren't that good.

Also, Tyll has some numbers on T70p S/N 0002.  Looks better than the T5p  but not as good as the DT1350 to me.  The graphs don't quite capture tone and timbre though so if that's closer to the 1350 than the 770/880/990/T1 it could be close enough the the comfort could make it a winner over the 1350.

At least for my tastes...

Just spotted those measurements on Tyll's site, you beat me to posting them.

I like the look of the FR. Has a wierd dip at 14k but it's so narrow I doubt it's audible. Square wave responses look very good too.

I know you can't tell from measurements, but it looks more like what I'm looking for than the DT1350. Certainly in comfort stakes alone it's more attractive.

What? I see no dip at 14k. There's one at 4kHz, which will sound pretty bad. DT1350 has a dip at 13k, pretty decent from the looks of it, plus more of 7k anti-sibilance and less high frequency rolloff. From the graph, T70p will sound sibilant to me.

(I'm looking at uncorrected graphs, since I know what my equalized response of certain other old headphone is. [DT235])

Also, T70p look like they have a 6 dB (or more) bass cut.

They look dreadfully bright to me.
Also, am i misunderstanding, or are the headphones tyll tested out of phase?

Hey, are these supposed to outperform the dt880s/990s? I'm looking for a closed back headphone.

No, you're not missunderstandng, they did measure out of polarity. (Technically, phase is a relationship that can vary continuously through many degrees, and is related to frequency.  Polarity is simply flipping the wires.) If you look through the Beyer measurements you'll see that numerous of their headphones are out of polarity.

And they did sound unacceptably bright to me.

nice!

I really like to see some impressions on it. I've seen the impressions of Drubrew and it just got me more excited! I just hope they aren't THAT bright... Ill just have to wait for more reviews/impresssions...

Any idea why the impulse response might be inverted on the 32ohm version, and is that bad?  Evidence of a phasy low end or what?
