do you call it open headphone

 

can other people hear what i listen to

You saw that exact model?

That's the Sennheiser, either HD 600 or 650. Yes, it's an open headphone.

No, that is not a "speaker out of headphone".

Yes, open headphones always leak sound so people near you can hear what you're hearing. It's annoying as heck, so make sure you don't use open headphones in public.

Not to mention you can hear everything else around you... I wonder if the reason audiophiles don't use open-backed headphones in public has less to do with a consideration for others and more to do with having to put up with ambient noise muddying up their music.
