By the way, what's the likely result to be? Because if it's just the cops have a word with him, and that's if they'll even do that, and that's the end of it (it's not a massive amount of money) then there's not much point. Making a concerted effort to inform his peers, etc. could be more effective as that'll hit him at his livelihood. Thoughts?

bother him at work. the number is available to his classroom line. call his boss the nuimber is also available. If the school he works for is teaching the type of ethics they claim, im sure they would love to know that someone is not setting a good example of ethics standards.

 

 

You could take it to small claims court but since no timeline or deadline for completion was set, you may have some difficulty proving that your request has not been honoured. If Bilavideo is having problems (due to high demand) completing the order for cup mods, perhaps he could outsource the work to some other people. Has anyone thought to seek real legal advice from legal authorities?

This thread is very sad. Bill is guilty of a lot of things and it would be nice if he made amends for his transgressions. What I find somewhat disconcerting about some of the suggestions on how to deal with the Bila issue though, is that they cross the line. Calling his Dad, calling his employer, etc. Some of you guys are manufacturing your own misery. Using justifiable anger to justify your own abhorent behavior. It really comes down to would you rather be right or would you rather be happy. wje's suggestion to make peace with this a while ago was a good one. Bill may or may not make amends to more of you, but I dont see compromising your own integrity as way to make things right. Just my 2 cents.

 

I just got Bill's work info from schwallman and sent him a message on his work email ID. I suggest everyone with a stake in this do the same. I have given him 2 days to respond back or I will contact the principal of his school.

So much for private messages? At any rate, the info supplied was easily found with just his name and city or residence. I didn't have to dig for it. I'm surprised no one else has already done this.

 

And not to start a war between anyone else, I disagree with just letting it go. Sure for some of the older users here that have money in the bank, $200ish wouldn't be worth the effort of trying to get them back. For me, I'm not exactly hurting for money, but I do not let people screw me over for no matter how much is at stake. I would call him and let him know what needs to be done or what will be done.

 

 

 

What a ridiculous claim. I would be perfectly happy with Bill losing sleep or his standing with his family over this. We have no real standing under the law, and he knows that. He was a lawyer for christ's sake. The ONLY way anybody will get their stuff back would be to continue to pester him.

 

I'm not going to fight him over ten dollars. If I sent him my sr225is, I would be planning a trip to his house atm.

Wow.. I just found this thread. On April 13th 2011, I have sent Bill $40 worth of Cocobolo, $20 to cover his shipping cost because he pm'd me after reading that I wanted one on some thread. He has told me he will send them "the next day" to me like 5x... I ended up basically telling him I don't care send it if you want and if not whatever. Then he shows me bunch of pics of Grado shells almost like teasing me saying he will ship them next day (again..) then next day he pm's he was not able to ship them but will the next day (again!) and that was last time he pm'd me on July 18th 2011. I didn't realize there were others like me. I actually really believed his story about hurting his back and couldn't work on my shells... I felt bad for him but now I don't even think that was true after reading this thread. This is way too ******* up. I thought he had good credit on this forum? Didn't think he was ripping people off like this.

Please don't just call him constantly. that makes us LOOK like the bad guys. This is important if we want this to work. If we just get ourselves isolated from his peers because we're asses then we're shooting ourselves in the foot. We're dealing with people who won't accept being asses. We want them on our side. Can someone pm me his email as well?

Maybe just one person could call and ask for a general update for the entire forum?  In a positive frame of mind ...  Arguing with him or pissing him off isn't going to accomplish anything IMO.  If there's still any chance for him to "make things right" ...

 

One thing that's odd, is that I have PM'ed him a few time after I got my MS2i's back, and he hasn't responded.  In the past, he always responded even if it took him a little while.  And his profile says he hasn't logged into Head Fi since the beg of July.

I haven't seen that anyone has done this recently though.  ...  After any shipments appeared to cease.
 

 

Bob all I'm trying to do is interject a little perspective. There are a couple of different things going on here. The first being posters on this board doling  out someones personal information for the purpose of harassing him. It's against the law for collectors to do the sorts of things being advocated here. Nobody has the right to contact his employer. Hell if I was his employer I'd give whoever called an earful for wasting my time with a private matter. I'm surprised Currawong hasnt come along yet and locked this thread down.

The work phone number and email is listed on the schools website. It was an avenue to get intouch with him. I am bowing out of this thread since Im owed nothing. I just wanted to help others get their headphones back. Lets close this thread down, to those who are owed headphones, sorry.
